Greetings,
As Mayor, it has been my privilege and honor to serve you, and today, I stand before you to humbly request your support once more. On November 7, I ask for your vote to allow me to continue moving our community towards a prosperous and inclusive future.
Over the past four years, we have achieved remarkable progress. Together, we have tackled key challenges head-on, transforming our city into a beacon of hope and opportunity. With your trust, we have paved the way for positive change, leaving no stone unturned in our pursuit of a better tomorrow. In my time as your Mayor, we have worked to revitalize our local economy, attracting new businesses and creating quality jobs for our residents. We have invested tirelessly in our city, ensuring the best resources and opportunities for growth. By supporting local businesses, we have fostered a thriving entrepreneurial spirit and strengthened the backbone of our community.
But our accomplishments do not stop there. We have made significant strides in enhancing public safety, combating crime, and building trust between law enforcement and our citizens. Together, we have implemented comprehensive policies empowering those most in need and leaving no one behind. Yet, there is still work to be done. As we navigate through uncertain times, it is essential that we have steady leadership with a proven track record of success. I offer you that stability, fueled by our mutual hopes and aspirations. Together, we will tackle the challenges ahead, emerging stronger and more resilient than ever before.
As your Mayor, I remain committed to listening to your concerns, collaborating with community leaders, and working tirelessly to make this city an even better place to live, work, and raise a family. I will continue to prioritize transparency and accountability, ensuring that your voice is not only heard but valued. On November 7, let us unite once again and choose a future filled with promise and progress.
When I sought this office in 2019, I proposed bold initiatives to affect positive and lasting change. We have, in the last four years, made significant progress with the combined sewer separation project, and are on schedule to meet the state-imposed deadline of achieving 85% treatment of the remaining combined sewer flow by June 30, 2025. I am particularly proud of the investment the city commission has made in our recreation facilities, as well as the decision to allocate $13 million to finance additional improvements through SPLOST VIII. These undertakings will benefit residents of Albany for generations.
This comprehensive website is much more specific than a flyer or 30 second ad. Our accomplishments are detailed under “What We’ve Done” and my priorities, should I be re-elected, are discussed under “What We’ll Do”. I hope all voters will familiarize themselves with my platform, and that those who support the direction of the city and my proposals for the next four years will cast their ballots for me on November 7 th .
With best regards,
~ Bo
